Holiday Lighting in Trees – Dan Warner has agreed to connect electric to light trees in
front of his property; exactly which building needs to be identified, possibly on the old
Fire Co. #1 Building on Lockwood or the Heritage Building on Gore. The lights have
been purchased.
District Holiday Decorations – The Public Works and Parks Departments are set to
get up all the holiday decorations up in time for the Old Webster Holiday Open House
on November 14th.
Santa’s Mailbox – The Old Orchard Business District has agreed to loan Santa’s
Mailbox to Old Webster to use during the Holiday Open House.
District Kiosk – Stacie Swederska is working with Werremeyer Creative for a District
Kiosk; pricing will run approximately $6K to $7K. Expanding the info kiosk idea to the
other business districts and business neighbors was discussed. Further discussion will
take place at the next meeting.
TIF Commission Update – The public hearing is set for October 27th. Information is
available on the City’s website.

BDC Update – The BDC will host a Business Roundtable on November 18th from 8:30
AM to 10:00 AM.
Proposed Douglass Hill Redevelopment Project – City Council has asked all City
Boards and Commission for their input, if they have any, on the proposed Douglass Hill
Redevelopment Project to be submitted by November 12th. To that end,
representatives from SG Collaborative (Larry Chapman, Liz Austin, and Joel Oliver)
were available to answer Commission Member questions about the project.
Commission Members decided not to submit input as a commission; members are of
course free to submit their individual positions direct to City Council.
City Update
• Construction on the buildings for Total Access Urgent Care have started going up at
Big Bend and Laclede Station.
• There is multi-family interest in the old Subaru Location in Old Orchard.
• Plan Commission is working on updating the tree preservation ordinance.
• Planned Commercial re-zoning with multi-family unit at 55 W. Moody in Old
Webster is going before the Plan Commission.
• City Council’s strategic planning is underway.
• City Council is on a path to vote on the Douglass Hill Zoning and TIF by the end of
the year. The Development Agreement could be done in December or January.
Next Meeting – Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 8:00 AM in person at City Hall 2 nd
Floor Conference Room and also available via Zoom.
