Stark seconded. Minutes were approved by voice vote with no dissent. NEW BUSINESS Discussion of proposed fee increases for 2019. Prop B raised minimum wage to $12 over the next 5 years. This year’s increase was $.85. The City raised starting wages to a minimum of $9 this year, and will raise to minimum of $10 next fiscal year to stay ahead of the curve and be able to hire and retain quality staff. To help offset this additional expense and because we have not raised daily admissions since 2013 staff proposes the increases listed on the attached spreadsheet. Additional fee increases for memberships and rentals will be proposed for 2020, daily admission for 2021, and memberships and rentals in 2020 to keep up with staffing expense increases. Stark moved to approve the proposed fees and recommend them to Council. Braadbaart seconded. Motioned passed 6-1. Staff will take this recommendation to Council at their next meeting date. SET NEXT MEETING The next regular meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Complex. Staff will be out of town at the MPRA annual conference, and request meeting to be moved forward or backward one week. Commission members agree to move forward. Next meeting date set for February, 21, 2019. ADJOURNED Pinkner moved for adjournment. Everyone seconded. Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
