Homework (to be discussed in meeting): Choose a topic and sign up to lead discussion at a future meeting (June-Sept). We’ll ask Chief Curtis to provide related data on Webster Groves that we might share on our website. Some thought starters: a. first responder alternatives for mental health crisis interventions – 988, BHR/St. Louis. Webster Groves had just 1 diversion? What are the benefits and barriers? b. equity in policing, regionally, historically. Webster Groves practices – 2021 St. Louis study c. community policing as a means of building engagement and trust. What would that look like in Webster Groves? implications for resource allocation/staffing d. surveillance vs privacy (Flock cameras) 11.
