Equestrian Preserve Committee Action Summary April 8, 2015
I. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance
Linda Elie called the meeting to order at 6:16 p.m.
Excused: 1 - Linda Smith Faver
II. Approval of the April 8, 2015 Equestrian Preserve Committee Agenda
A motion was made by Maryjo Shockley, seconded by Richard Ellis, to
approve the April 8, 2015 Equestrian Preserve Committee Agenda with the
following changes: Add Village Attorney Laurie Cohen's discussion of the
Charter Review Task Force after item EPC-087 December 10, 2014 Equestrian
Preserve Committee Revised Minutes. Also, reorder EPC-089 Discussion of
Recreational Trails Grant Program Application to go before EPC-088 Off-Street
Parking and Loading.
Aye: 6- Vice Chair Whitlow, Lund, Chair Ellie, Ellis, Shockley and Meigs
Excused: 1- Smith Faver
III. EPC-087 December 10, 2014 Equestrian Preserve Committee Revised Minutes
A motion was made by Mr. Meigs, seconded by Dr. Lund, that the revised
Decemeber 10, 2014 Equestrian Preserve Committee minutes be approved. The
motion carried by a 6-0 vote.
Village Attorney Laurie Cohen disscusion regarding Charter Review Task
Force Meeting Scheduling
Ms. Cohen stated she would discuss April 21st, April 23rd, and April 30th as
possible joint meeting dates for the Equestrian Preserve Committee and the
Charter Review Task Force.
IV. New Business
EPC-089 Discussion of 2015 Recreational Trails Grant Program Application
EPC-088 Chapter 2. Off-Street Parking and Loading
Linda Elie made a motion to recommend approval of item EPC-088 with the
following recommended changes: There shall be an exemption on required
parking for barns with four or fewer stalls, for barns with 5-100 stalls required
parking shall be 1 space per 3 stalls, for barns with more than 100 stalls
required parking shall be one space per two stalls and that all minimum
parking requirements shall be provided on a daily basis. Maryjo Shockley
seconded the motion and the motion carried by a 6-0 vote.

VI. Board Comments
Dr. Lund stated the Little Ranches HOA inquired about the status of the land
around the Florida Power and Light substation. Ms. Schokley and Mr. Meigs
commented on the April 6, 2015 Equestrian Town Hall meeting.
