CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chair Cleveland called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Jane Cleveland, Dr. Kristy Lund, Dr. Rachel Eidelman, and Carlos Arellano were present. Kathleen Gannon-Ledsome arrived late. Robert Bushey and Dr. Sergio Guerreiro had excused absences. Staff present: Michael O'Dell and Ryan Harding. II. REMARKS BY COMMITTEE CHAIR Ms. Cleveland introduced Mr. Arellano as the newest member of the committee. Ms. Cleveland asked about the upcoming schedule for the committee. Mr. O'Dell replied the final draft of the Plan of Action would probably come to the committee for a Public Hearing in April's meeting. He also stated the Land Development Regulations related to the Equestrian Preserve Area are tentatively scheuled for committee review in March. III. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/REORDERING OF AGENDA There were no changes to the agenda. IV. NEW BUSINESS - WORKSHOP V. EPC-177 Workshop - Equestrian Plan of Action Staff and the committee reviewed the Plan of Action and the committee gave recommendations for the final draft version. Topics covered in the Plan of Action include: Community Interdependence, Economic Impact, Horse Sports and Tourism, Land Use, Infrastructure, and Environmental Mangement. Mr. O'Dell explained the Economic Impact Study is being conducted by Florida International University. An assessment of the equestrian community's impact on the non-equestrian community will be part of the study. The committee recommended having an open meeting with residents to obatin input on the Plan of Action. VI.
