CALL TO ORDER Chair Cleveland called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Jane Cleveland, Robert Bushey, Carlos Arellano, Glen Fleischer, and Annbelle Garrett were present. Dr. Kristy Lund arrived late. Dr. Rachel Eidelman was absent. Staff present: Robert Basehart, Michael O'Dell, and Ryan Harding. II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE III. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR Mr. Bushey made a motion to nominate Ms. Cleveland for Committee Chair. Dr. Lund seconded the motion and it psased unanimously (6-0). Dr. Eidelman was absent. Ms. Garrett made a motion to nominate Mr. Fleischer for Vice-Chair. Mr. Arellano seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (6-0). Dr. Eidelman was absent. IV. REMARKS BY COMMITTEE CHAIR Chair Cleveland went over the upcoming schedule for the Equestrian Preserve Committee. She stated the next meeting would be in August because the July meeting would be Independence Day. Ms. Clelveland stated she would like to have a planning workshop at the August meeting. V. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/REORDERING OF AGENDA Chair Cleveland reordered the agenda to move the elections to the end of the meeting after the Housing and Economic Impact Studies discussion. Mr. O'Dell asked Mr. Basehart to go over the Rules and Regulations for Committee Members before the Housing and Economic Impact Studies discussion. VI. NEW BUSINESS - WORKSHOP A. EPC-180 Discussion Item - Housing and Economic Impact Studies 2018 Dr. Ned Murray and Dr. Maria Ilcheva went over the Summary of Key Findings for the Housing and Economic Impact Studies. The summary highlights initial findings from the studies which are still in draft form. Village of Wellington Page 1 Equestrian Preserve Committee Action Summary June 6, 2018 Some of the topics covered included: Housing Market Demand Factors, Housing Market Supply Factors, Wellington's Economy Compared to County Growth Patterns, Wellington's Economic Structure and Dynamics, Equestrian Economic Impact, Identfication of Key Issues, and Identification of Key Policy Considerations. The committee provided recommendations for the study including finding new ways to account for equestrian economic impacts. B. BOARDS AND COMMITTEES 101 - RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS Mr. Basehart went over provisions for committee members including eligibilty requirements, member terms, meeting schedules, and attendance policies. VII. STAFF COMMENTS There were no staff comments. VIII. BOARD COMMENTS There were no board comments. IX. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. X.
