Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Action Summary October 9, 2014
I CALL TO ORDER
Dr. Falzone called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mr. Wenham made the motion to approve the agenda with the addition of New
Business A and New Business B. Mr. Forgione gave the second. Motion was
approved unanimously.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Wenham made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Fleming
gave the second. The minutes were aprroved unanimously.
A. PR14-007
IV. PRESENTATION
Mr. Hagopian gave a presentation highlighing the status of athletic fall
programs.
Unexcused 2 - Dr. Jeffrey Zipp, and At-Large Michael Pignato
A. PR14-004
Mr. DeLaney gave a brief presentation updating the Board on program
participation number comparisons between 2013 and 2014.
V. OLD BUSINESS
VI. NEW BUSINESS
a. FRDAP Grant Phase I Tennis
Ms. Stockton made a motion to move forward with the application to seek
FRDAP funding for the 2014-2015 cycle for Phase I of the Tennis Center
Complex construction. Mr. Wenham gave the sencond. The item was
approved unanimously.
b. FRDAP Grant Phase II Tennis
Mr. Forgione made a motion to move forward with the application to seek
FRDAP funding for the 2014-2015 cycle for Phase II of the Tennis Center
Complex construction. Mr. Wenham gave the second. The item was approved
unanimously.
VII. PUBLIC COMMENTS
There were no public comments.

VIII. BOARD COMMENTS
Ms. Stockton expressed concern that tennis patrons were not complying with
the lightning detector warnings. She also suggested that some people may be
parking illegally at the WCC.
Mr. Forgione expressed that he was very excited to have been a part of the
Tennis Complex groundbreaking ceremony.
Mr. Wenham also expressed that he enjoyed the ground breaking event.
