I. CALL TO ORDER
Stephen A. Levin called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
Members present; Stephen A. Levin; Elizabeth Mariaca; Jeffrey Robbert and
Maureen Martinez.
Members Absent: Alan Shullman; Sal Van Casteren and Dr. Carmine Priore.
Staff present: Rachel Bausch, Assistant Village Attorney; Cory Lyn Cramer,
Development Review Coordinator; Kelly Ferraiolo, Sr. Planner and Jennifer
Fritz, Recording Secretary.
II. REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN
Mr. Levin thanked staff for adjusting tonight’s meeting night.

VII. NEW BUSINESS
PZ-0196 ORDINANCE NO. 2019-12 (SIGN CODE)
AN ORDINANCE OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL
AMENDING THE WELLINGTON LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS, MORE SPECIFICALLY, A ZONING TEXT
AMENDMENT TO AMEND THE SIGN CODE; TO ESTABLISH
SPECIFIC STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS RELATED TO SIGNS IN
ARTICLE 7 OF THE LDR; PROVIDING A CONFLICTS CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
Kelly Ferraiolo, Sr. Planner gave an overview of the modifications to the Land
Development Regulations (LDR). Tonight the sign code if being presented.
This is more of a clean up to ensure the Village complies with the recent court
rulings on freedom of speech. Mrs. Ferraiolo reviewed the changes with the
Board.

A motion was made by Elizabeth Mariaca, seconded by Jeffrey Robbert, to
approve Ordinance 2019-12 as it stands by staff. The motion passed
unanimously (4-0) with Dr. Carmine Priore, Alan Shullman and Sal Van
Casteren absent.
VIII. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
IX. COMMENTS FROM STAFF
Cory Lyn Cramer commented staff will be adding the sign code back to Article
7, and then it will go back to Council. Staff is working on Article 6 and Article 3
and the Board will see those Articles very soon. Mr. Levin inquired on the
Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board meeting going back to the usual
second Wednesday of each month. Ms. Cramer confirmed.
X. COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD
Mr. Levin commented to the public to attend the Fall Harvest October 19, 2019.
October 22, 2019 the Town Center Boardwalk will have the groundbreaking.
XI. ADJOURN
A motion was made by Elizabeth Mariaca, seconded by Jeffrey Robbert, to
adjourn. The motion passed unanimously (4-0) with Dr. Carmine Priore, Alan
Shullman and Sal Van Casteren absent.
