CALL TO ORDER Jeffrey Robbert called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present: Jeffrey Robbert; John Bowers and Tracy Ciucci. Members Absent: Maureen Martinez; Ron Herman; Dr. Satesh Raju and Adam Rabin. Staff present: Rachel Bausch, Assistant Village Attorney; Tim Stillings, Planning, Zoning and Building Director; Cory Lyn Cramer, Planning and Zoning Manager; and Jennifer Fritz, Recording Secretary. II. REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN Jeffrey Robbert remarked that tonight’s meeting does not have a quorum; the minutes will be approved at the next meeting. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/REORDERING OF AGENDA VI. PRESENTATIONS PZ-0318 PRESENTATION BY THE PALM BEACH COUNTY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AGENCY Tim Stillings, Planning, Zoning and Building Director, introduced Brian Ruscher with the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency (TPA). Mr. Ruscher, Deputy Director of Multimodal, presented to the Board the planning study that envisions a multimodal future for 13.5-mile corridor. The study corridor passes through Palm Beach County (PBC), the Village of Village of Wellington Page 1 Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Action Summary October 18, 2023 Board Wellington, the Village of Royal Palm Beach and the City of West Palm Beach. Based on the findings, a series of goals have been created to direct the vision for the corridor. Mr. Ruscher reviewed the goals and the steps to achieve the goals. The Board inquired on ridership and obtaining state funding. Mr. Ruscher stated the funding will depend on traffic pinch points and increasing ridership. Mr. Bowers inquired on having direct routes without so many stops. Mr. Ruscher stated it would take additional funding but they are currently working on a direct route on Okeechobee Road. PZ-0317 TREASURE COAST REGIONAL PLANNING COUNCIL PRESENTATION OF THE WELLINGTON GREEN AND STATE ROAD 7 STUDY Dana Little, Urban Design Director, presented to the Board on what the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council consists of and what they do. Mr. Little reviewed with the Board the findings from the study on housing, retail and hotel and office. Mr. Little reviewed the various design concepts; the economic impact and implementation issues and strategies. The Board discussed density and the redeveloping of the Wellington Green Mall. VII.
