PSC-018 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 28, 2015 REGULAR MEETING Attachments: 1.28.15D The minutes of the Wednesday, January 28, 2015 regular meeting of the Public Safety Committee are attached for review and approval. V Reports A. PSC-019 STAFF REPORT James Poag will provide a report on current and upcoming public safety related items and issues including a Safe Neighborhoods and Code Enforcement Initiative update. Mr. Poag will also respond to any Committee questions or concerns. In addition, a representative from Parks and Recreation will be in attendance at the Committee's request to respond to questions related to Park Rangers. B. PSC-020 PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORT Captain Jay Hart of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office District 8 Wellington will provide an update on current crime trends and statistics and discuss the most recent Strategic Review Report. In addition, Captain Hart will respond to questions regarding public safety related matters and concerns. C. PSC-021 PALM BEACH COUNTY FIRE RESCUE REPORT Battalion Chief Mike Arena of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will provide an update on current happenings as well as present the most recent Response Time Reports. Chief Arena will also be available to respond to questions regarding public safety related matters and concerns. VI New Business A. PSC-022 SELECTION OF 2015 TOP COP AND TOP FIREFIGHTER Attachments: Poritz TopCop Letter 2015 Roy Gonzalez PBSO Eric Aho PBCFR Lt Sebastian Garay Turner Top FF for VOW The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office District 8 Wellington and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will present their nominations for the 2015 Top Cop and Top Firefighter Awards.
