I CALL TO ORDER
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mr. Trager made a motion to approve the agenda, Mr. Nebb gave the second.
The motion was approved.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Nebb asked that information regarding senior housing be added to the
minutes. The minutes were approved pending addition of information.

IV. PRESENTATION
SAC15-016 Senior Services Department Updates
Meridith Tuckwood from the Senior Services Division gave an update on
programs and services offered by the department. She distributed the new
Senior Services Guide, the Senior Services brochure, and the Senior Services
Symposium schedule for the first quarter of 2016.
Mr. Trager asked if Channel 18 is being used to advertise symposiums. Ms.
Tuckwood replied that she would check to make sure it is.
Mr. Fransetta thanked Ms. Tuckwood for the work she does. Ms. Tuckwood
was greatful and asked the committee to help get the word out to the senior
community so they will know what services are available. Mr. Fransetta
suggested that utility bills could be a good way to get word out.
Mr. Trager offered to make the Golden Banner available for any article or
information that can be provided.
V. OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Fransetta reminded the room that the committee has continually stressed
that they are in favor of senior housing.
VI. NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Fransetta said he had heard that senior housing will be on the Counsiel
agenda in February.
Mr. Nebb said there were discussions and unanimous approvals by this board
supporting a senior housing project.

Mr. Fransetta mentioned that Mr. Trager was recognized by Council for his
work with seniors. He also mentioned that he himself was given a key to the
City in recognition for his work with seniors as well. He made the point that if
two members of the committee were recognized it should be a positive sign
that the ideas set forward by the committee were valued by Council.
Mr. Trager again thanked Ms. Tuckwood for her work and expressed how
important the services are to the community.
Ms. Zimmerman also thanked Ms. Tuckwood and reiterated his suggestion to
use Channel 18.
Mr. Nebb reminded the room that seniors pay taxes.
Ms. Lascola also thanked Ms. Tuckwood.
Ms. Tanner also thanked Ms. Tuckwood for her efforts.
