Solicitor Bond presented copies of ORC 737.04 concerning mutual aid contracts for police protection and allows for policing contracts between government entities. Chief Rollins presented a cost estimate ($280,000.00) that would cover the costs for a full-time officer, cruiser/maintenance/gas and dispatch services. Mr. Wells suggested we find out how many calls the township gets in a year to get a better estimate of costs. Discussion followed on the present mutual aid services and how this contract would effect the departments involved.
