4. OLD BUSINESS
Special Council Meeting - Mr. Wells announced that there will be a special Council
Meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday Nov. 4th to discuss and interview prospective
replacement council people. Mr. Wells asked Clerk O’Brien to notify the media. Ms.
Shaw asked whether the meeting will be executive session or an open meeting; Mr.
Wells replied, all of the above. Mr. Maurer asked if council will choose someone that
night; Mr. Wells replied, possibly yes, there could be possible action taken. There
was some discussion about who would be attending the meeting. Ms. Denes asked
whether or not Mr. Bond will be in attendance; Mr. Wells mentioned that he would
be comfortable if Mr. Bond was in attendance. Ms. Dronsfield asked whether or not
there would be a set of questions to ask; Mr. Schneider mentioned that when they
meet at 5:30 PM on Monday to look over the applications, they could discuss the
questions then. Ms. Dronsfield asked if they would adjourn into executive session
for that; council decided that they would. Ms. Shaw mentioned that she read in
the paper the Mayor’s salary is $10,000, however, that had changed and she
thought that the new Mayor will make $1,500.00 more than the President of
Council. That would make the Mayor’s salary $10,200.00. Mr. Wells will schedule
the applicant’s interviews and will have a list for the meeting Monday night.
