Lincoln Ave. from S. 76 St. to S. 91 St. and portions of intersecting streets be improved by major asphalt resurfacing of the pavement, miscellaneous walk and driveway repair, storm sewer relay, sanitary sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments. Explanation of the proposed improvements by Michael Lewis, City Engineer. Appearances: None. 2. R-2006-0017 Resolution Relative to Vacation and Discontinuance of a Portion of an Alley North of West Walker Street Between South 56th Street and South 57th Street. Explanation of the proposed Resolution by Michael Lewis, City Engineer. Appearances: Arthur Ketchman, Jr., 701 S. 56 St., spoke on behalf of his mother regarding objection to the vacation of this property. He commented on the history and subsequent development of the property. He mentioned liability for the land owners, and said that there were other options available. O-2006-0012 Ordinance to amend various sections of the Revised Municipal Code relative to permitting gas stations as a special use in the C-2 Neighborhood Commercial District, repealing service stations as a permitted use in the C-4 Regional Commercial District, repealing carpet and rug stores, retail sales only as a permitted use in the C-3 Community Commercial District, permitting research/testing laboratory and technology facilities as a special use in the C-4 Regional Commercial District, and amending medical laboratories and manufacturing facilities as a special use in the M-1 Manufacturing District. G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Mayor's Report Public Events: Gave two presentations on the plans for the Centennial and taped a show for Channel 14 on the Centennial. Attended a Chamber Business After 5. Attended a press conference on the Champs racing event at the Milwaukee Mile. Intergovernmental: Attended the Alliance of Cities meeting in Milwaukee. Management: Met with all department heads to review performances for 2005 and set tasks and goals for 2006. Announcements: The Mayor will be holding a meeting of volunteers for the centennial to match them with responsibilities. The meeting will be held Thursday March 23, at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. UW Band Concert is scheduled for March 27th at Central High School at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available in the Mayor's Office. Alderpersons Comments Ald. Sengstock commented on the passing of former Ald. Norbert Boeder. He extended condolences to the family. H.
