The meeting was called to order by Mayor Bell at 7:00 p.m.

D. PUBLIC HEARINGS
1. R-2006-0173 Resolution to confirm and adopt the report of the City Engineer containing the
schedule of proposed assessments for improvement of the general area bounded by
W. Burnham St., W. Cleveland Ave., S. 92 St., and S. 108 St. by replacement or
repair of concrete sidewalk at random locations.
Explanation of the proposed Resolution by Michael Lewis, City Engineer.
Appearances:
Mary Pat Morris, 2001 S. 105 St., supported the proposal.
John Peller, 9338 W. National Ave., questioned the 10-year policy, described the history of
repair work and cost, and inquired about the long side and short side of a corner lot.
James Schiller, 2130 S. 108 St., commented on the history of resurfacing Highway 100, and
prior sidewalk replacement. He stated that other sidewalk areas are in more need for repair.

Great events being planned for our Fourth of July celebration.
Relay for Life on July 14th and the 15th
Alderpersons Comments
Ald. Reinke thanked the volunteers who helped with the Centennial Celebration, and thanked
those who participated and attended. She announced the 4th of July events that include the
Parade, post-parade activities, the Breakfast of Champions and Fireworks.
Ald. Kopplin thanked Borgwardt Funeral Home for putting out flags for Memorial Day.
