A. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Devine at 7:00 p.m.

C. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Ald. Sengstock led the Pledge of Allegiance with Boy Scout Troop 16.
D. PUBLIC HEARINGS
None.
E. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Carol Graham, 1808 S. 63 St., commented on the letter from Mr. Wachholz and the petition
regarding stop signs and traffic control near Irving Elementary. She addressed her concerns
regarding safety for the children.
F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES
Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess:
Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and
Advisory.
G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Mayor's Report
Mayor Devine explained that the City Hall voicemail system is currently out of service, and
work is being done to resolve the situation. He thanked everyone who helped with Candy
Cane Lane, and he said that nearly $83,000 were raised for the MACC Fund. He also thanked
the Community Alliance Against Drugs for their New Year's Eve event.

Ald. Reinke reported on the Veteran's project. She thanked those who helped wrap gifts, and
thanked James Mejchar who helped deliver the gifts on Christmas Eve.

A motion to adjourn was made by Ald. Sengstock, seconded by Ald. Reinke.
Ald. Sengstock withdrew his motion to adjourn.
Ald. Vitale commented on his responsibility to his constituency, and addressed the S. 60 St.
project. He spoke with a DOT representative, and referenced the public information meetings.
He expressed his concern with the effect on traffic because of the narrowing of the street, and
the potential for confusion.
