The meeting was called to order by Mayor Devine at 7:00 p.m.

Explanation by John Stibal, Director of Development
Appearance: Omer Audi, 1357 S. 76 St., owner of Super Bottle stated he purchased 7546 W.
Greenfield Avenue, former Owl Imports, with the intention of moving his current business into
that location before this proposed Ordinance was introduced. He requested to be
grandfathered before the repeal.
2. R-2014-0107 Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit for proposed auto repair
facility, J&S Auto Repair, to be located at 662 S. 93 St.

3. R-2014-0108 Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Permit for an outdoor extension of
premise at the Walleye Saloon, an existing tavern, located at 8824 W. Becher St.
Sponsors: Safety & Development Committee
Explanation by John Stibal, Director of Development
Appearance: Andrew Janocik, 8820 W. Becher Street, proprietor of the Walleye Saloon
expressed his concerns regarding the gravel lot.
E. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Brianna Olson, 2210 S. 75 Street, expressed her concerns and listed numerous nuisances
occurring in the neighborhood relative to Pawn America. Brianna is requesting the
non-renewal of Pawn America's licenses.
Russell Retzack, 1441 S. 68 Street, reported on behalf of the Ethics Board on the number of
Economic Interest Statements outstanding.
Carla Krueger, 2245 S. 75 Street, expressed her concerns regarding safety and nuisances
relative to Pawn America.
F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES
Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess:
Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and
Advisory.
G. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Devine congratulated the following winners from the West Allis-West Milwaukee
Chamber of Commerce: Business of Year-Milwaukee Machine Works; Citizen of the
Winner-Ray Nazer; and Young Professional Winner-Colleen Pluskota. He reminded citizens of
the 2014 Fire Department Open House being held on May 17, 2014. Mayor Devine along with
Representative Daniel Reimer visited the Longfellow Lions to celebrate Arbor Day. He
announced and thanked the I.T. Department for rolling out on Earth Day the new interactive
map that highlights all the recycling locations in the city. He commented on the City of West
Allis Citizen Service Awards dinner and is appreciative of all those who volunteer on the
citizen advisory committees. Mayor Devine announced and welcomed Johnson Controls, 801
S. 60 Street, into the City of West Allis bringing jobs to the community.

H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT
Ald. Haass stated he had an opportunity to meet with the department heads and fellow
alderpersons and thanked them for helping him during his transition. He visited the Center
for Communication, Hearing and Deafness, 10243 W. National Avenue, and stated this
business is a real asset to the community.
Ald. Lajsic commented on the passing of former Mayor and Alderperson Jack Barlich.
Ald. May stated the West Allis NOW has an article regarding the fifty (50) years the Barczak
family has held the District 3 Alderperson seat in the City of West Allis.
Ald. Probst commented on the passing of former West Allis-West Milwaukee School District
Superintendent Sam Castagna.
