E. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Robert Braun, 2160 S. 86 St., spoke about the ruling on same sex marriages, prior lawsuits and
activities he has been involved with.
F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES
Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess:
Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and
Advisory.
G. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Devine stated he met with representatives of the UW Extension Master Gardener
Program and that they are working with the Forestry Department on adopting flower beds in
West Allis. He spoke about the Fourth of July festivities, the parade, breakfast, fireworks
display and that State Fair Park is charging for parking this year, which has been free in the
past. He mentioned that National Night Out is Monday, July 21st at the Farmer's Market and
block parties will be on Tuesday, July 22nd.
H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT
Ald. Probst announced that a meeting was held with Pawn America executives regarding
remedies for concerns from the neighbors. A report will follow in the next coming weeks.
Ald. Weigel commented on the construction on S. 76th St. during State Fair. He stated that
during the fair there will be temporary lighting supplied by the Department of Transportation.
