CITIZEN PARTICIPATION Lisa Wood, 1645 S. 68 St. commented on the Dog House Special Use Permit application, shared some photos showing the close proximity of the properties, neighborhood intrusion, no neighbor support, and that the business does not overcome requirements of the ordinance. Ms. Wood referenced activities of the business and requested denial of the special use request. Julie Opalewski, 1649 S. 68 St. supported the proposed special use. F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess: Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and Advisory. G. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Devine proclaimed November 1st Extra Mile Day. A proclamation honoring people that go that extra mile. He acknowledged the CAAD Halloween Event, the Block Captains Dinner, the Senior Citizen luncheon, and wanted to thank all the people that go that extra mile to make the city a better place. Mayor Devine commented on the ground breaking ceremony for Hampton Inn and Suites. He thanked the new firefighters that were sworn in. Mayor Devine spoke about a Community Event, the Special Education PTA Historical Harvest Fest at Lane Intermediate School, 1300 S. 109 St. to be held on November 22nd. H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT Ald. Reinke thanked committee volunteers and the poll workers. She commented on the holidays Veterans Project beginning November 17th.
