The meeting was called to order by Mayor Devine at 7:00 p.m.

W. Florence Lane from S. Waukesha Rd. to Root River Parkway, S. Seymour
Place from W. Florence Lane to north of W. Florence Lane, and portions of
intersecting streets by concrete pavement repair, miscellaneous sidewalk repair,
miscellaneous driveway repair and utility adjustments.

F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES
Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess:
Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health,
and Advisory.
G. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Devine congratulated those honored at the Chamber of Commerce Awards
dinner: Pat Hladilek, Citizen of the Year; Ed Lisinski, Young Professional of the Year;
and Heiser Chevrolet, Business of Year. He thanked Joe Kempen for thirteen (13)
years of service on the Police & Fire Commission. Mayor Devine commented on the
Citywide Clean Up and thanked the over 100 people for partaking in the event; and
announced the new website "Keep West Allis Green" (www.keeepwestallisgreen.com)
which will have various tips on pollution, buying local, transportation, etc.
H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT
Ald. Weigel thanked "Big Deal Burgers and Custard" for hosting a fundraiser for the
Skate Park; and he recognized "Double B's" for investing in their property/business
and he noted that the Downtown area has a four percent vacancy rate which is good
considering the economy.
Ald. Probst commended a parent who with her children took the initiative and cleaned
up the vandalism in the Skate Park.
Ald. May thanked the West Allis Rotary Club for inviting him to speak on the topic of
"Building a Stronger Community" which focused on aesthetics, amenities, and
bringing people together which makes for a stronger West Allis.
