G. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Devine reminded everyone about the Downtown West Allis Classic Car Show.
He commented on the following events: Doors Open Milwaukee in which two locations
are featured this year, Cream City Clay and the Historical Society Museum; and
Oktoberfest will be held at the Farmer’s Market. Mayor Devine thanked and attended
Zack Blum’s Eagle Scout ceremony. Mr. Blum's Eagle Scout project was the
organization and implementation of the installation of the new playground equipment
at Jefferson Elementary School. He thanked citizen, Brian McCue, for organizing the
“Thank Them Challenge” which is a Facebook challenge to thank Police Officers with
gift cards that were donated from businesses and given to the Second Shift West Allis
Police Officers. Mayor Devine encouraged everyone to vote for West Allis Central
High School versus West Allis Hale High School football game for television channel
Fox 6 High School Blitz of the week game.

All meetings of the Common Council are public meetings. In order for the general public to make comments at the committee meetings, the individual(s) must be scheduled (as
an appearance) with the chair of the committee or the appropriate staff contact; otherwise, the meeting of the committee is a working session for the committee itself, and
discussion by those in attendance is limited to committee members, the mayor, other alderpersons, staff and others that may be a party to the matter being discussed.
