Weigel Tuesday, January 3, 2017 7:00 PM City Hall Common Council Chambers REGULAR MEETING A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Devine at 7:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 10 - Ald. Barczak, Ald. Czaplewski, Ald. Haass, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. May, Ald. Probst, Ald. Reinke, Ald. Roadt, Ald. Vitale, and Ald. Weigel C. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ald. Roadt. D. PUBLIC HEARINGS None. E. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION James Mejchar, 3200 S. 116 St., commented on the funeral of John Sarno. Mr. Mejchar requested an honor guard from the West Allis Police Department and a squad car to lead the procession to the cemetery. Mr. Mejchar stated how proud he is of the community and everyone that took part in this tribute to a retired West Allis Police Officer. Mr. Mejchar said that the smiles on the families' faces were priceless. F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess: Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and Advisory. G. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Devine thanked CAAD (Community Alliance Against Drugs), Ald. Roadt and all the volunteers for their participation in another excellent New Year’s Eve event. H. Vitale, that this matter be Approved. The motion carried unanimously. J. ITEMS NOT REFERRED TO COMMITTEE 2. 2017-0002 Fred and Julie Carsky communication relative to property damages allegedly sustained at 2563 S. 95 St. on November 23, 2016. Attachments: Carsky claim This matter was Referred for Legal Action to the City Attorney on a Block Vote. 3. 2017-0003 Summons and Complaint in the matter of Bonnie L. Eastman vs. City of West Allis, Case No. 16CV007114. Attachments: Eastman - claim This matter was Referred for Legal Action on a Block Vote to the City Attorney. Passed The Block Vote A motion was made by Ald. May, seconded by Ald. Barczak, to approve all the actions on the preceding items on a Block Vote.
