1. R-2023-0114 Resolution to confirm and adopt the report of the Interim City Engineer
containing the schedule of proposed assessments for improvement of
various streets and alleys by concrete construction, concrete reconstruction
and/or asphalt resurfacing.

Interim City Engineer Rob Hutter presented.
Public Comments:
Megan Matty, 2204 S. 109th St. commented she isn't concerned about the alley behind
her house being improved because she never uses it; it serves as the neighbor's
driveway.
Mike Wojdac, 7717 W. Arthur Ave. asked questions about the gas line WE Energies
recently installed; who paid for it, who is going to fix his curb that they broke and is that
same area going to be tore up again?
David Page, 7707 W. Arthur Ave. stated he agrees with Mr. Wojdac's comments and is
also concerned about what improvements will exactly be done.
Judy Oswald, 7737 W. Arthur Ave. stated she is the corner lot which her curb took the
most damage done by WE Energies and they will not fix anything.
Lucia Mueller, 8733 W. Boone Ave. commented he is concerned about where everyone in
the neighborhood will be able to park.

2. R-2023-0216 Resolution considering discontinuing a portion of S. 55th St. from W.
Mobile St. (North) to W. Mobile St. (South) that crosses the Union Pacific
Railroad tracks.

Planning & Zoning Manager Steve Schaer presented.
E. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Louis Kowieski, 719 S 97th St. thanked his Alderperson for trying to help resolve a
parking problem in his neighborhood.
F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES
Mayor Devine announced that the following Standing Committees would meet during
recess: Administration, Public Works, Economic Development and Public Safety.
G. MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Devine presented Randy Katzuba with a Proclamation congratulating him on
retiring after running a successful business, Randy's Neighbors Inn for 45 years.
H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT
Ald. Haass encouraged people to attend Thursday's School Board Candidate Forum
hosted by the City's Youth Commission. It begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be in the Council
Chambers.
Ald. Reinke announced Liberty Heights Park Neighborhood is holding an Easter Egg
Extravaganza on April 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a free event with an egg hunt to find
5,000 eggs, games and prizes.

CLOSED SESSION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Administration Committee of the City of West Allis will
meet, at approximately 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as time permits, on Tuesday,
March 21, 2023, in City Hall's Art Gallery (lower level), 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. West Allis,
Wisconsin, to vote on a motion to convene in closed session at said time and place to
confer with the City Attorney on the settlement of the Steven Kaltenbrun Worker's
Compensation claim, and to take such further action as may be necessary and appropriate
with respect to such matter.
A closed session for the above purposes is authorized pursuant to the provisions of Wis.
Stats. Section 19.85(1)(g), which authorizes a governmental body, upon motion duly made
and carried, to meet in closed session to confer with legal counsel for the governing body
who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with
respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved.
Upon conclusion of the closed session, the Administration Committee will convene in open
session at said time and place to consider its public agenda, including motions to
recommend approval or rejection of above-listed deliberations or any of the public agenda
items that have not been acted upon.
