Weier, Agent, d/b/a Craw Daddy’s, for the premises at 9427 W. Greenfield Ave. (new-existing). Appearance by Mike J. Weier and Jonathan M. Klug. Discussion ensued regarding the renewal application submitted for Big Dogs Sports Grill, the business being closed, and Mr. Weier's purchase of the property. This matter was Held. Greenfield Ave. for Big Dog’s Sports Grill not being in use since April. Attachments: Craw Daddy's complaint filed 9-4-15 A motion was made by Ald. Weigel, seconded by Ald. Haass, that this matter was Referred for Summons to the City Attorney. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Czaplewski, Ald. Roadt, Ald. Barczak, Ald. Haass, and Ald. Weigel No: 0 33. 2015-0627 2015-2016 Entertainment Club License application no. 2246 of Just For Today, Donald Henry and Fred D. Bell, Partners, for the premises located at 1900 S. 60 St. Attachments: Just For Today Business Plan Appearance by Donald Henry and Fred D. Bell. Discussion ensued regarding the business operation and the police reports for Mr. Henry and Mr. Bell. A motion was made by Ald. Barczak, seconded by Ald. Weigel, that this matter be denied based on the police report for Mr. Henry for the thirteen (13) occasions between 2012-2015, disregard for the law, and on the police report for Mr. Bell from 2014. City Attorney Post advised the Committee that by ordinance the conviction must substantially relate to operating an entertainment club and that the conviction must be within five (5) years preceding the date of application. Ald. Barczak withdrew his motion and Ald. Weigel withdrew his second for denial. The applicants were directed to submit a Public Entertainment Form and a Plan of Operation with restrictive hours, Sunday thru Thursday to be closed at 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday to be closed at midnight. They were informed that any violations involving the presence of controlled substances or alcohol could be cause for revocation. The nuisance ordinance was also addressed. Based upon the applicant submitting the additional forms they were directed to appear October 6, 2015. This matter was Held. Haass, that this matter was Recommended for Denial based on two (2) nonappearances. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Czaplewski, Ald. Roadt, Ald. Barczak, Ald. Haass, and Ald. Weigel No: 0 35. 2015-0615 2015-2016 Adult-Oriented Establishment Operator Permit application no. 2241 of Jonekka E. Glenn. Second nonappearance of Jonekka E. Glenn. Ms. Glenn did not contact the Clerk's Office. The Committee requested she be ordered to appear at the next scheduled License & Health regular meeting. This matter was Held. 36. 2015-0598 Police Department Report regarding July 9, 2015 Alcohol Compliance Check involving ten (10) West Allis businesses, resulting with seven (7) selling alcohol to an underage person without requesting identification (5 WILS, LLC, Jason M. Wilson, Agent, d/b/a Magoo’s Sports Pub, premises located at 8911 W. National Ave.). Appearance by Jason M. Wilson. A motion was made by Ald. Roadt, seconded by Ald. Haass, that this matter was Recommended to be Placed on File. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Czaplewski, Ald. Roadt, Ald. Barczak, Ald. Haass, and Ald. Weigel No: 0 D. In order for the general public to make comments at the committee meetings, the individual(s) must be scheduled (as an appearance) with the chair of the committee or the appropriate staff contact; otherwise, the meeting of the committee is a working session for the committee itself, and discussion by those in attendance is limited to committee members, the mayor, other alderpersons, staff and others that may be a party to the matter being discussed.
