Weigel Tuesday, June 16, 2020 7:56 PM City Hall - Virtual 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. RECESS MEETING A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Alderperson Lajsic at 7:56 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 5- Lajsic, Tenorio, Haass, Kuehn, and Weigel Others Attending John Stibal, Director of Development, Steve Schaer, Planning & Zoning Manager Kail Decker, City Attorney Alex Sonnleitner, Representative of Uhaul (by phone) C. New Matters for Introduction 23. R-2020-0344 Resolution for a sixty day extension (until August 18, 2020) of a temporary moratorium on warehousing, self-storage uses, vehicle and equipment sales and/or rental within an area east of State Highway 100 (STH100) to the existing railroad right-of-way and from W. Washington St. to the north City limits Sponsors: Alderperson Weigel Attachments: Signed R-2020-0344 Moratorium A motion was made by Weigel, seconded by Haass, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Lajsic, Tenorio, Haass, Kuehn, and Weigel No: 0 Public Hearing Items (Safety & Development Committee) 24. O-2020-0023 Ordinance to amend Sections 12.06, 12.43 and 12.45 of the Municipal Code of the City of West Allis related to establishing a nominal price retail store definition and regulations Sponsors: Safety & Development Committee Attachments: Ord_O-2020-0023 A motion was made by Kuehn, seconded by Haass, that this matter was Recommended for Passage. D. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Weigel, seconded by Haass, to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 p.m. The motion carried unanimously. All meetings of the {bdName} are public meetings. In order for the general public to make comments at the committee meetings, the individual(s) must be scheduled (as an appearance) with the chair of the committee or the appropriate staff contact; otherwise, the meeting of the committee is a working session for the committee itself, and discussion by those in attendance is limited to committee members, the mayor, other alderpersons, staff and others that may be a party to the matter being discussed.
