Board of Health Meeting March 8, 2022 6:30pm Present: Heather Shea, Chairwoman, Dr. Amir Mohammad, Jean Mullins, Treasurer, Maureen Lillis, Director; Absent Kathy Tucker, Cebi Warterfield Also present: Helen Johnson, Public Health Nurse, Hillary Lawrence, Chief Sanitarian The meeting began at 6:39 with the pledge of allegiance Minutes from February 8, 2022, were approved Helen Johnson, Public Health Nurse provided updates from heart month screenings, and TB patients being followed and monitored. A discussion ensued regarding medical advisor, TB management and malpractice coverage. Hillary Lawrence, Chief Sanitarian provided an update via zoom on inspections -255 licensed food service -75 cosmetology -18 public pools (schools and hotels) (5 follow ups) -30 food trucks -80 temp vendor permits -468 complaints -8 well permits -5 septic systems (alterations/repairs or tank abandonment) -8 led poisoning in children (some landlords sent to housing court for non- compliance) -9 beaches with 2 storms (completed over 100 beach inspections-ytd) - 26 cosmetic inspections (there were 30 complaints and 80 follow ups) -25 food service delinquencies - increased rodent infestation (Colonial Blvd/Ocean Ave) - residential/commercial on Main/Campbell very dirty (advised to keep dumpsters clean) Dr. Mohammed provided update on his visit to the WH Rotary Club. He also met with superintendent, Neil Cavallaro about covid guidelines Chairwoman Heather Shea reviewed a WHHS event about tobacco awareness and prevention.
