MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS 200 SAWMILL ROAD, WEST HAVEN, CT 06516 JULY 1, 2025 AT 7:00 PM Members present were Chairman Butler, Commissioner Carrano, Commissioner Suggs 1. Minutes of June 17, 2025 a. Commissioner Suggs made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 17, 2025 meeting; seconded by Commissioner Carrano. The motion passed unanimously. 2. Public Input – None 3. Communications 3.1 Training Report May and June 2025. 4. Report of the Chief – None 5. Report of the Deputy Chief a. Staffing is at 119. 14 Officers are unavailable. 105 Officers are available. 6. Report of the Committees a. Commissioner Carrano asked about the status of the pension. Lieutenant D’Amato informed the Commission it is being worked on. Hopefully contributions will begin with the first pay period in August. 7. Pension – None 8. Old Business – None 9. New Business – none 10. Commissioners Report – None 11. Executive Session 11.1 Personnel Chairman Butler made a motion to enter into executive session; seconded by Commissioner Suggs. Executive session began at 7:05 PM. 12. Adjournment a. Chairman Butler reconvened the regular meeting at 7:28 PM. Commissioner Carrano made a motion to adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Suggs. The meeting adjourned at 7:28 PM.
