MEETING MINUTES FOR INLAND WETLANDS AGENCY OCTOER 20, 2020 The West Haven Inland Wetlands Agency held a Public Hearing and a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in at Cielo Banquet (aka West Haven Italian American Club), 85 Chase Lane , West Haven, CT at 6:30 P.M. PRESENT: Commissioners Kane, Beecher, Gilbane, Perrone, ZEO Conniff and Commissioner of Planning and Development Messore. Absent was Commissioner Carr. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Beecher made a motion to approve the meeting minutes for September 15 2020, seconded by Commissioner Gilbane and passed. 168 Peabody Street Applicant seeks approval to subdivide a lot into three single- family residential building lots within the 200 foot watercourse regulated area in the R2 district. Owner Barry and Robert Rosner File # 005-20 IW Attorney Vincent Falcone, West Haven, is representing the applicant. He stated this is a 63,000 sq. ft. vacant lot. For many years it was a commercial, non-conforming use and was a storage facility for the delivery of school food. All work will be done within 200 ft. of the inland wetland area. Marcus Puttock, engineer, described the property and the location of the wetlands on a plan. The proposal is for three residential lots. The property is not located in a flood zone and is approved by FEMA. Stormwater drainage for each of the three houses will be installed. ZEO Conniff read into the record comments from Town Engineer Quadhir, Building Official Gladwyn and no comments from the Fire Marshall. Mailings were submitted to the file. Three calls were made to speak in favor and three calls were made to speak in opposition to this application. Eustace Jones, 160 Peabody St., he has no problem with this application. Commissioner Gilbane made a motion to close the public hearing, seconded by Commissioner Beecher and passed. Commissioner Gilbane made a motion to approve File #005-20 IW with the following conditions: No building beyond what is shown in the rear of the proposed houses without I/W approval Patios has shown will be limited in size as shown on plan Wells will be located as shown as plan Motion seconded by Commissioner Perrone and passed. ADJOURNMENT: 6:55 P.M. Commissioner Beecher made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Gilbane and passed.
