PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE PRESENT: Commissioners Kane, Beecher, Perrone, Carr, Gilbane. Planning Director Soto and ZEO Hotchkiss APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Beecher made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of February 15, 2022, seconded by Commissioner Gilbane and passed. Open Space Commission: 6 Rock Street: A request from the applicant to relocate a portion of the walkway that currently runs along the Savin Rock Conference Center towards the water in order to create an enclosed patio area. Owner: City of West Haven/Applicant: New England Brewing Co. File #003-22 IW. Marty Juliano, owner, of New England Brewing is presenting the application tonight. Commissioner Kane stated he has the plans that show accessing the area and leaving 20 ft to gain access to the walkway. Mr. Juliano stated 30 ft has been left between the property line and the building for silos that will hold grain. The public access will be rounded for a better turn for emergency access. Commissioner Carr is concerned about the natural landscape. Three calls were made to speak in favor and three calls were made to speak in opposition to this application. Commissioner Gilbane made a motion to approve File #003-22 IW, seconded by Commissioner Perrone and passed 4 – 1 Abstain (Carr). OLD BUSINESS: Commissioner Kane discussed training that is required for the commissioners. ADJOURNMENT: 6:49 p.m. Commissioner Gilbane made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Carr and passed.
