In the Harriett North Room 2nd floor at 6:30 P.M. PRESENT: Commissioners Kane, Beecher, Perrone, Carr, Riley, ZEO Hotchkiss and Assistant Planner Conniff PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Beecher made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of March 19, 2024, seconded by Commissioner Riley and passed. PUBLIC HEARING: 147 Hilltop Lane: A request to remove the existing deck and construct a new 16’x16’ second story addition to the rear of the house and construct a new 16’x18’ second story deck adjacent to the addition. The construction will take place in the inland wetland review area pursuant to Section 72 City of West Haven Inland Wetland Watercourse and Open Space regulations. Owner : Michael A. & Christina M. Collura/ Applicant : Michael A. Collura. File # 006-24 IW Applicant stated the house has a deck in the rear that is in need of repair. This application is to request to construct a second story where the existing deck is and then construct a new deck adjacent to the addition, to the left facing the house. The addition would be approximately the measurements of the existing deck and the new deck would be slightly larger. He also would like to build a carport on the left side of the house. Three calls were made to speak in favor and three calls were made to speak in opposition to this application. Public input closed. Commissionner Carr made a motion to approve File #006-24 IW, seconded by Commissioner Perrone and passed. MISCELLANEOUS : Ms. Conniff informed the commission the state requires commissioners to attend a training course. It is approximately two hours. ADJOURNMENT: 6:47 P.M. Commissioner Riley made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Perrone and passed.
