Zoning Board of Appeals

The West Haven Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing and Regular Meeting on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Harriet North Room, Second Floor, City Hall, 355 Main Street, West Haven, CT at 7:15 P.M. PRESENT: Commissioner Clifford, Porto, Greenberg, Leper, ZEO Conniff and Corporation Counsel Amendola. Absent were Commissioners Wise and DeLeo. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Greenberg made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of April 19, 2017, seconded by Commissioner Leper and passed. New: 21 Park Ave A request for a front yard variance of 5.2’ where 20’ is required and 13.2’ will exist, to construct a new 6’ x 20’ Front deck. In a R2 Single Family Detached Residence, Under Article 2 Section 10.4.2 a of the City of West Haven Zoning Regulations. Owner/ Applicant Michael P Wrigglesworth File # 116-17V Applicant stated there is an existing 6’ x 10’ stoop that he would like to extend to 20 ft. The stoop will end in the middle of the house. ZEO Conniff read into the record correspondence from the Assistant City Engineer Hammond making a recommendation getting a land surveyor but it is up to the P & Z Commission to decide whether it is needed. The mailings have been submitted to staff. Three calls were made to speak in favor and three calls were made to speak in opposition to this application.
