PRESENT: Commissioners Clifford, DeLeo, Leper, Lewis, Porto, Coscia and ZEO Conniff. Absent was Commissioner Wise. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Commissioner Porto made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of June 20, 2018 with the correction of adding commissioners who were present, seconded by Commissioner DeLeo and passed. New 156 Central Ave. The applicant requests a side yard variance of 10.5’ where 15’ is required and 4.5’ will exist, to expand an existing bedroom, and a variance to 4.5’ where 10 feet is required and 5.5’ will exist, to construct a new deck in an R-2 District. Applicant: John Lombardo. Owner: Melissa Kelly. File # 030-18 V. Melissa Kelly stated she has a daughter in a wheelchair. When the paramedics come, they can only get a stretcher into the hallway. She would like to have a direct access in case of emergency. Existing bedroom room ix 11 x 13-1/2 and the new length will be 27 ft. A slider door will be installed off her daughter’s bedroom. The addition will be closer to the sideyard setback. ZEO Conniff stated the hardship was created prior to revised regulations. ZEO Conniff read the building official comments into the record. The mailings have been submitted to the file. Three calls were made to speak in favor and three calls were made to speak in opposition to this application.
