WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION STUDY MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY, JULY 3, 2024 at 3:30 PM WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS Harold Woodruff, Mathew Lovato, David McEwen, Cindy Wood, Martell Winters and Darrick Porter ABSENT Renee Layton WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING DIVISION STAFF Steve Pastorik, Steve Lehman, and Julie Davis WEST VALLEY CITY ADMINISTRATION Brandon Hill, Assistant City Attorney SUBDIVISION APPLICATION SD-1-2024 The West Valley City Parks Department is requesting consideration to dedicate a portion of 6750 West and a portion of Parkway Boulevard. The property to be dedicated is located along the frontage of the City’s future Wetland Park. The property is located at 6750 West Parkway Boulevard and is zoned A-1. (Staff – Steve Lehman at 801-963-3311 or steve.lehman@wvc- ut.gov) Steve presented. Commissioner Drozdek asked how the process works for the dedication of the DISCUSSION: right-of-way. Steve explained that this is a dedication plat for the right-of-way in front of property that will be developed as a wetland park. PLANNING COMMISSION BUSINESS Voting of new Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. Motion: Commissioner Winters motioned to nominate Commissioner Lovato as Chair of Planning Commission. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion carried. Vote: Commissioner Lovato Yes Commissioner McEwen Yes Commissioner Wood Yes Commissioner Woodruff Yes Commissioner Porter Yes Commissioner Winters Yes Commissioner Drozdek Yes Commissioner Layton Absent Commissioner Winters motioned to nominate Commissioner McEwen as Vice Chairperson. Commissioner Wood seconded. Motion carried. Vote: Commissioner Lovato Yes Commissioner McEwen Yes Commissioner Wood Yes Commissioner Woodruff Yes Commissioner Porter Yes Commissioner Winters Yes Commissioner Drozdek Yes Commissioner Layton Absent There was no further business.
