MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING – DECEMBER 4, 2018 -1- THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF WEST VALLEY CITY MET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2018, AT 6:56 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEST VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD, WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN BUHLER. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: Steve Buhler, Chair Ron Bigelow Don Christensen Lars Nordfelt Tom Huynh Karen Lang ABSENT: Jake Fitisemanu STAFF PRESENT: Wayne Pyle, Chief Executive Officer Nichole Camac, Secretary Paul Isaac, Assistant City Manager/HR Director Nicole Cottle, Assistant City Manager/ General Counsel/ CED Director Eric Bunderson, City Attorney Layne Morris, CPD Director Colleen Jacobs, Police Chief John Evans, Fire Chief Jim Welch, Finance Director Nancy Day, Parks and Recreation Director Russ Willardson, Public Works Director Sam Johnson, Strategic Communications Director Jake Arslanian, Public Works Department RESOLUTION 18-03: AUTHORIZE THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF WEST VALLEY CITY TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF WEST VALLEY CITY FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4160 SOUTH 6400 WEST Wayne Pyle, City Manager, presented proposed Resolution 18-03 that would authorize the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City to execute a Warranty Deed to the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City for property located at 4160 South 6400 MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY SPECIAL MEETING – DECEMBER 4, 2018 -2- West. Written documentation previously provided to the Municipal Building Authority included information as follows: The West Valley City Fire Station 71 site is currently located on two separate parcels, one owned by West Valley City (parcel 20-03-226-059) and the other owned by the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City (parcel 20-03- 226-091). West Valley City will be constructing additions to, and remodeling the existing fire station building. As a condition of obtaining a building permit and in order to comply with West Valley City Municipal Code Section 7-2-110, consolidation of the two parcels into one overall composite description, one tax identification number and common ownership is required. A Warranty Deed has been prepared to convey the overall composite description from West Valley City, and from the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City to the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City. Hearing no further discussion, Chairman Buhler called for a motion. Ms. Lang moved to approve Resolution 18-03. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Ms. Lang Yes Mr. Huynh Yes Mr. Bigelow Yes Mr. Christensen Yes Mr. Nordfelt Yes Chairman Buhler Yes Unanimous.
