Amend Appointed Board members term of expiration PUBLIC COMMENT EXECUTIVE SESSION  Village of Westhampton Beach Board of Trustees Meeting Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 5 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RESOLUTIONS: 1. Accept minutes of Board of Trustees Meeting RESOLVED, that the minutes of the Board of Trustees Meetings of July 1st, July 17th, and July 29th, 2024, are hereby accepted. 2. Accept Departmental Monthly Reports RESOLVED, that the Justice Court, Police Department’s and Building Inspector’s reports and Treasurer’s report for June 2024 are hereby accepted. 3. Approve Warrant for May and July 2024 RESOLVED, that the warrants for July 2024 in the amount of $232,047.16 for the General Fund and $40,934.58 for the Capital Fund are hereby approved. 4. Schedule a Public Hearing RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk-Treasurer is hereby directed to publish and post a Notice of Public Hearing to be held on Thursday September 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at the Village Hall for a Local Law to amend Chapter 143 of Village Code entitled “Special Events and use of Village Property”. 5. Authorize Village Attorneys for Article 78 RESOLVED that the Village Attorneys, Esseks, Hefter, Angel, Di Talia & Pasca, LLP, are hereby authorized to represent the Village of Westhampton Beach in the CPLR Article 78 proceeding entitled “DiPasquale and others v. the Village of Westhampton Beach” brought in New York State Supreme Court under Index Number 616147, at the hourly municipal rate schedule for special services set forth in the Village Attorneys’ retainer letter. 6. Approve Use of Village Property- Rogers Beach RESOLVED, that Westhampton Beach Fire Department is hereby authorized to use Rogers Beach on Sunday September 8, 2024, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for their annual Barbeque. 7. Authorize Use of Village Property – Maria Z. Moore Park Bocce Courts RESOLVED, that the Greater Westhampton Beach Chamber of Commerce is hereby authorized to use the Maria Z. Moore Park Bocce Ball Courts on Mondays from July 29, 2024, to October 28, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for a Bocce Ball League with two games per time slot. 8. Authorize Use of Village Property – Sidewalks RESOLVED, that the Greater Westhampton Beach Chamber of Commerce is hereby authorized to use the Village Sidewalks on Saturday September 28, Sunday September 29, 2024, and Saturday October 12, Sunday October 13 and Monday October 14, 2024, from10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the fall festival/sidewalk sale. 9. Authorize Use of Village Property-Lashley Parking RESOLVED, that Dune Deck Beach Club LLC of 379 Dune Road is hereby authorized to use the Lashley bay side parking lot on Saturday August 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for 30 cars provided there is the availability and with village issued parking passes. 10. Authorize Use of Village Property – Rogers Beach Pavilion RESOLVED, that the Church of Immaculate Conception is hereby authorized to use the Rogers Beach Pavilion on August 18, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for a mass. 11. Authorize Use of Village Property-Seafield Center RESOLVED, that the Seafield Center is hereby authorized to use the Rogers Beach Pavilion on Friday, September 6, 2024 (rain date Monday, September 9, 2024) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Annual Wellness Day. 12. Authorize Use of Village Property – Rogers Beach Parking RESOLVED, that Peter Nesvold of 165 Dune Road is authorized to use the Rogers Beach parking lot on Saturday September 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 40 cars provided there is the availability and with village issued parking passes. 13. Authorize Special Event-Bike A Thon RESOLVED, that the God’s Love We Deliver is hereby authorized to hold a special event bike-a-thon to pass through town on Saturday September 14, 2024, from 7:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. as per route approved by the Police Department. 14. Authorize Use of Village Property – 5K run/walk RESOLVED, that The Knights of Columbus is authorized to use the Village Marina on Saturday September 21, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for registration and staging area for the “Live Like Vin” 5k run/walk with the route on file approved by the Police Department. 15. Authorize Use of Village Property-FBI National Academy Associates RESOLVED, that the FBI National Academy Associates are hereby authorized to use Rogers Beach Pavilion on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a Law Enforcement Fraternal Event for members.  16. Authorize Use of Village Property – Veteran Memorial RESOLVED, that William Donohue is hereby authorized to graciously donate and place a WWII memorial in the military appreciation park at the Village Marina to be 4’ wide, 42” above grade and 18” deep of highly polished black granite with up to 30 veteran names in the Town of Southampton project to be dedicated on August 15, 2025. 17. Authorize Use of Village Property – Rogers Beach RESOLVED, that the Hampton Synagogue is hereby authorized to use Rogers Beach on Monday August 12, 2024, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for a prayer service. 18. Authorize Mayor to sign Optimum service agreement RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the mayor to sign the agreement with Optimum for updated service for the Marina and Rogers Beach and a new service for Lashley Beach. 19. Authorize Mayor to sign grant application for MS4 Mapping Engineering RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the mayor to sign the grant application for MS4 Mapping Engineering with D & B. 20. Authorize Mayor to sign contract renewal for Integrated Wireless Technologies RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the mayor to sign the renew contract for Integrated Wireless Technologies. 21. Authorize Village Clerk Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer to Attend NYCOM’s Fall Training School RESOLVED, that Village Clerk Treasurer Denise Mordente and Deputy Treasurer Karlyn Sabo are hereby authorized to attend the 2024 NYCOM Fall Training School in Saratoga, NY from September 15 to September 20, 2024, at a cost of $1,058.00 each for lodging, meals $475.00 each and $510.00 each for conference registration plus travel expenses of $500 for gas and tolls from G/L account code A1325.406 Clerk Office Expense. 22. Authorize to accept donated 40” Bocce Ball Racks RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Board of Trustees hereby accept the generously donated (4) 40” high and 4’ wide Bocce Ball Racks for the Maria Z. Moore Bocce Ball Courts from David Asalti. 23. Amend Appointed Board members term of expiration RESOLVED, that all Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Architecture Review Board terms expire the 30th of June in the year that their terms expire.
