17. Authorize DPW Employees to Attend Training RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes Andrew DeRubeis and Andrew Dunham to attend Living Landscape Conference on October 13, 2025, at a cost of $85.00 each to be paid out of GL Code A5110.412 Training, Conventions & Publications. 18.Authorize the Use of Village Property RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the use of Village Property for the events below: •The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce- Halloween Party for Kids on October 31, 2025, from 3:30pm- 5:30pm at the Maria Z. Moore Park. •lnlet2Inlet- Beach Cleanup and Fall Fair Fundraiser- on October 12, 2025, with a rain date of October 13, 2025 from 9am- 6:30pm on the Great Lawn. •Joseph Pierro- Luncheon in honor of Edwin J. Cartoski- October 4, 2025, from 11 :30am- 2:30pm at Roger's Beach Pavillion. 19. Authorize the amendment to the Affordable Housing Requirements WHEREAS, Chapter 40 of the Village Code of the Village of Westhampton Beach allows for the creation and administration of affordable housing units within the Village of Westhampton Beach; and WHEREAS, in accordance with §40-5A(1), the Village or its designee will develop procedures for housing lotteries for the affordable units created pursuant to Chapter 197 (Zoning). To the extent practicable, such lottery procedures will be consistent with those promulgated by the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation, its successors and assigns. WHEREAS, the Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. (LIHP) was designated by the Village to administer the housing lottery on behalf of the Village for the seven (7) new affordable 2-bedroom condominium units (the "Affordable Units") within the development known as "The Gables at Westhampton Beach"; and WHEREAS, LIHP held the lottery, which resulted in only two (2) qualified applicants for the seven (7) Affordable Units; and WHEREAS, in order to find additional qualified applicants for the remaining Affordable Units, the Trustees would like to open the opportunity to find qualified applicants on a first-come first-serve basis; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Village Board of Trustees hereby opens the application process for the remaining Affordable Units at The Gables at Westhampton Beach, to be administered by the Long Island Housing Partnership, on a first come-first serve basis as permitted pursuant to §40-5A(1).
