Everest Metro Police Commission Meeting
October 11, 2017 4:00 PM
Meeting was called to order at 4:00PM by Ed Zagzebski
Members Present: Ed Zagzebski ,Gil Holcomb, Mel Podolske, Lisa Krause, Jeff Micholic, Mark Maloney
and Dave Eisenreich.
Others Present: Captain Schulz
Motion by Krause with a second by Podolske to approve the minutes from the 10-3-17 meeting. Motion
approved.
Motion by Holcomb with second by Micholic to convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85
(1) [c] for the purpose of considering personnel matters; Interview a candidate for position of Police
Chief. Motion approved via roll call vote.
Motion by Krause with second by Maloney to reconvene into open session. Motion approved via roll call
vote.
Motion by Holcomb with a second by Krause to promote Captain Clay Schulz to the position of Police
Chief of the Everest Metro Police Department. The promotion will be effective with the retirement of
Chief Wally Sparks on March 2, 2018. Motion approved unanimously.
There being no additional business, a motion was made by Maloney with a second by Holcomb to
adjourn. Motion approved.
The meeting adjourned at 5:35 pm.
