Ermeling called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

CONVENE INTO COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE.
The Board of Trustees convened into Committee of the Whole at 4:36 p.m.
6. CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION UNDER WISCONSIN STATE STATUTES 19.85 (1)(c)
for considering performance of any public employee over which the governmental body has
jurisdiction or exercises responsibility to consider allowing a Village employee/official to carry a
weapon or firearm in all village owned buildings.
7. CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION UNDER WISCONSIN STATE STATUTES 19.85 (1)(e)
for deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds,
or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require
a closed session to discuss the acquisition of property along the Camp Phillips Road corridor.
8. CONVENE INTO CLOSED SESSION UNDER WISCONSIN STATE STATUTES 19.85 (1)(g)
for conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering written advice
concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is likely to
become involved regarding the Crafties’ alcohol license.
Motion by White, second by Ostrowski to convene to closed session.

Motion by Schuster, second by Ziegler to authorize two individuals to carry a weapon or firearm in all
village owned buildings as requested by those individuals. Q/ Schuster asked about training. There was
a short discussion on training.

10. Opportunity for Trustees to ask questions about agenda items listed under consent agenda on this
meeting agenda.
Ermeling said she has concerns with the fees (item 49). Guild said there are no building permit/planning
department fees included this time. Donner also requested that item 44 be postponed to the next meeting

Ermeling asked for comments. There were no comments.
PRESENTATIONS/PUBLIC HEARINGS
11. Presentation from Marathon County Officials regarding Uniform Addressing project.
A presentation was given by Marathon County officials on the Uniform Addressing project. Schuster
and Ermeling have concerns with some of the other municipalities opting out of the project. Trustee
White feels the Village made the right decision the first time to participate in this project.

49. Resolution No. 2017-005: A Resolution Amending the Village Fee Schedule.
50. Approve Resolution No. 2017-011: A Resolution requesting the Village of Rothschild and City
of Schofield rename E. Grand, W. Grand and N. Grand Avenue in their communities as part
of the Marathon County Uniform Addressing Project.
51. Resolution No. 2017-012: A Resolution supporting the development of the Mountain-Bay State
Park Trail from the trailhead to Camp Phillips Road in the Village of Weston, Wisconsin.
52. Resolution No. 2017-013: A Resolution to recommend to the Governor and the Wisconsin
legislature to close loopholes that shift a greater property tax burden from commercial to
residential homeowners.
53. Resolution No. 2017-014: A Reaffirming the Village of Weston Board of Trustees’ Stance on
Requiring all Single-Family up to Four-Unit Residences (on One Tax Parcel) to Use the Village
of Weston Provided Residential Curbside Refuse/Recycling Collection Services, and Repealing
Resolution VW-14-01
54. Resolution No. 2017-015: A Resolution providing for the renaming of several streets within the
Village of Weston due to the Marathon County Uniform Addressing Project
55. Resolution No. 2017-017: A Resolution adopting a policy for the acquisition of property from
the D.C. Everest School District’s Weston Elementary School property to assist in the
implementation of the Camp Phillips Corridor Plan.
56. Resolution No. 2017-018: A Resolution requesting Everest Metro & SAFER District to Submit
2-Year Budgets to the Village of Weston on an Annual Basis.
57. Resolution No. 2017-019: A Resolution assigning governmental responsibility for the DNR
