There was a total of 5 bids received for this bond. The winning bid was submitted by Morgan Stanley & Co. The final amount of the bonds is $4,430,000. White asked about amending the resolution to include the new bond amount. Trautman said she received new resolutions today with the correct amounts. Motion by Ermeling second by White to amend the budget and decrease by $10,126 out of account 51101. Ermeling said this is a salary increase for the Board of Trustees. She feels this is not a good time. Maloney asked if she felt this would be good to consider next year. Ermeling said we can discuss this again next year. Maloney said this board has not had a raise since 1994. He said the Village may be able to attract more people to run. The Town of Weston is several thousand dollars over the positions in the Village. He said the current Board is really engaged. This is a very fair raise. Ermeling said she has never done anything over the years to just get a vote and that is not why she is suggesting it. Maloney agreed and said he has never seen her do anything out of character. Waste Management Merger with Advanced Disposal and Discussion of Impact to Refuse & Recycling Contract Dale Marth and Scott Stencil introduced themselves and said they were both from Advanced Disposal. Dale said as of October 30th Advanced Disposal became a subsidiary of Waste Management. The contract between Advanced Disposal and the Village still exists. They are honoring the current contract. They will be using the same drivers and equipment. There are 15 new employees from Waste Management that are working in the Village. They are looking to expand their current facility. Maloney asked if there were any locations closing. Scott said both the Antigo and Mosinee locations were sold to another company. Ermeling asked if there is going to be more vehicles in the Village. Scott said yes. There was a short discussion on the drop-off site and the changes that were made to it. Maloney asked about sharing some of the savings they have had because of the changes to the drop-off site. Advanced Disposal will have to do some further research on this and get back to the Village Administrator. White said it would be nice to know how many people are actually using the site. 41. Accounts receivable write-offs Motion by Ermeling second by Meinel to approve the write-offs as recommended by the Finance Committee. Discussion and possible action on setting a new asking price for available lots in the Business Park Maloney said the current price is $25,000 and the recommendation is to go to $34,000 based on an appraisal done by Scott Williams and Associates. Maloney agrees with this. White said there should be some flexibility and since there is no TIF money to use he is suggesting not setting a dollar amount. Maloney said there should be some consistency. Donner said we need to have a starting point and negotiations can always be later. Maloney asked if this approval would be effective immediately.
