Cindy Russell – 5907 Tricia Avenue
Ms. Russell spoke regarding her concerns about the extension of TID #1. She would like to see
it close to provide property tax relief for the Weston residents.
Gayle Marshall – 4503 Estate Drive
Ms. Marshall spoke regarding her concerns about the extension of TID #1. She would like to
see properties subtracted in the TID return to the tax roll to help fund services in the Village.

19. Administrator
Donner gave an update as to the current Village Hall property RFP which is currently
being drafted as well as the result of the soil samples which showed low-level or no
level of detection of contamination. Also discussed the need for a request at the end
of the agendas for direction of Board to the staff for any requests of work to be done.
20. Clerk
21. Finance
Troutman gave an update as to the completion of the 2021 audit. Has been working
with the police chief with police contract negotiations.
22. Fire/EMS
Chief Finke gave an update on the purchase of a new ladder truck for the department.
The department has currently received two bids with it looking like it will take two
years to build the truck.
23. Parks & Recreation
Osterbrink gave an update on the Aquatic Center pool running smoothly for the
summer so far. Parks are busy with rentals and staff is busy with grass and tree
maintenance. Will be meeting with the YMCA regarding future agreement.
24. Plan/Dev
Higgins informed the Board that the Village is working with North Central Wisconsin
Regional Planning Commission and other communities to assess the housing market
and that a survey link was released for participation.
25. Police
Chief Schulz informed the Board that he met with the union regarding the contract
negotiations. The Department will be fully staffed within the next couple weeks.

Wodalski gave an update on the three grants that were submitted in June to the
Wausau MPO. Utility projects are ongoing and the temporary treatment system for
PFAs should arrive soon.

Crowe is working on the technology in the new building.

to Birch) Engineering Design Contract. Intergovernmental Agreement approved by
Village of Rothschild Board. A design proposal was received by MSA which included
the design cost of $266,800 of which $128,706 would be the Village of Weston share
and $138,094 would be the Village of Rothschild share.

Discussion had been previously held regarding TID#1, pulling out properties/leaving
them in and what the effect would be on the TID. Contact will be made with Ehlers to
determine conservative/less conservative scenarios. Will be revisited upon
completion of analysis by Ehlers.
