Refuse and Recycling Trustee Hartinger requested that a meeting be held for the Ad Hoc Public Safety Building Renovations Committee in the first two weeks of December, 2023. Administrator 23. Clerk Brehm reminded Board of the trustee positions which will be up in April of 2024 and procedure for upcoming election. 24. Finance Trautman requested that the Village not send automatic tax receipts to save on postage and requested Boards approval which all trustees were in approval. 25. Fire/EMS Chief Finke informed the Board of a recent fire on Foothill Drive. There are also still openings at the Fire Department which they are trying to fill. Public Works Wodalski reported that the fall leaf pickup was completed timely despite some issues with equipment. 30. Technology Trustee Pinsonneault asked Crowe about the audio in the Board Room in which Crowe said that there will be a return visit to look at the audio system. Higgins indicated that it has not been passed yet but there would still be permits but that if it would pass, it would have to be allowed for in residential areas. Cronin asked that the Village respond to our representatives on our position on the proposed legislation. Update on goals for 2023-2025 Strategic Plan (on recording https://youtu.be/dHOkbZIQ1vo?t=2607) Cronin requested that the new Administrator Jami Gebert revisit the Strategic Plan at the December meeting. 42. Update on Stillwater Landing Mobile Home Park (on recording https://youtu.be/dHOkbZIQ1vo?t=2632) Meverden was present and advised the Board that the potholes were filled. The project is going to be pushed forward until spring because the park was having issues with the contractor not returning calls. Bids were sent out and it was too late in the year to begin work. The inspection department will be getting back into the park to deal with the parking issue and there are other issues that still need to be dealt with. Maloney indicated that there are issues all around the Village that need to be dealt with as there are others in violation. Meverden said that they have seen other violations and are addressing those as they come in. He will also get in contact with the new manager at the park. Cronin asked if parking on the grass was our responsibility to deal with or the parks. Higgins indicated that would be something we would deal with, but the Village is working with the police department on citations. Pinsonneault asked if we had an updated report as to what has been fixed and what is still needing to be abated. 43. Update on Punch List Items for Municipal Center (on recording https://youtu.be/dHOkbZIQ1vo?t=3069) Meverden gave an update to the Board on what has been fixed and what is still outstanding and provided an updated list in the packet. 44. Discussion and/or action on Assessor Data on Website (on recording https://youtu.be/dHOkbZIQ1vo?t=3342) Motion by Cronin, second by Pinsonneault to provide assessment data online free of charge to requesters for a cost of $1,475.50 per year to the Village. Discussion: Hartinger verified that this was an annual number. Zeyghami said that this is a service provided to a realtor and should not be paid by the taxpayer. Ermeling stated that the Marathon County’s policy grants permission for inclement weather, medical emergencies, etc. Pinsonneault included that mandated visual appearance is required by other bodies and Cronin agreed. Hartinger commented that work becomes an issue at times when meetings are scheduled. Maloney said that if it becomes difficult, then you just may not attend that meeting. Cronin asked if this was just for Board or for Commission and Committees as well and Maloney stated for all. Hartinger expressed that it would not be good to push meetings off just because a quorum could not be physically present. Ermeling stated that the County policy states anticipated lack of quorum. Cronin stated that there is a commitment to be present. Maloney said this was brought forward due to some concerns he has received from committee/commission members. The wetland is split 50/50 with the Village of Rothschild and then the watermain design is a total of $28,600 which $26,100 is the Village of Weston and Rothschild is the $2,500.
