Motion by Ermeling, second by Weiland to approve the Police Protective Services and Municipal Court Services Agreement with the Village of Rothschild. Discussion: Pinsonneault asked the following comments: 1. Did Attorney Yde review the proposed agreement. Gebert said that Attorney Flanigan has reviewed the agreement which said attorney was approved by both municipalities. 2. In 2023, he and Attorney Yde researched the current EMPD Charter Agreement. He did not see the changes or recommendations that were put forth in this agreement. 3. On Page 204 under Commission line 3 when will the officers be chosen? Gebert said at the first meeting that will be one of the first agenda items. 4. A member of the Commission should be a person who has prior law enforcement background. 5. No more than two members that serve on the Commission should have prior law enforcement experience. 6. How will vacancies be handled? Vergin said that the Village President would handle those with Board approval. The appointments would be staggered. Cronin asked about item number (2)(d) the administrator discussing with the Board President the number of requests, legality of the request, Board may impose limitations, his concern is that he does not want the Board to get in the habit of a trustee saying that if he/she does not provide the information, it would be a public records request.
