BOROUGH OF WESTWOOD HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Thursday, January 18, 2024 7:30 PM, Borough Hall MINUTES 1. OPENING OF THE MEETING – 7:37 pm, Lou Scheideler, HPC 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE New/returning members sworn in: Ann Costello, Bill Haffler, Jackie Martin, Christine Scheideler 3. ROLL CALL - Present: Rachel Berkoben, Ann Costello, Noeline Grefrath, Bill Haffler, Christine Scheideler, Lou Scheideler, HPC Council liaison- Lauren Letizia, Jackie Martin, Rachel Berkoben Absent: Mike Bieri, Steve Lydon, Public Attendees: Beth Dell 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - December Minutes submitted by C. Scheideler Accepted for approval - Motion: J. Martin; 2nd N. Grefrath. Motion passed. C. Scheideler, HPC secretary, to forward approved minutes to Jean-Marie Vadovic, Deputy Borough Clerk to be posted on Borough website. 5. PROCEDURAL a. New membership: Ann Costello, Rachel Berkoben, Billy Haffler L. Scheideler greeted new members; member introductions were made 6. CORRESPONDENCE – n/a 7. STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS and VOUCHERS a. n/a (account balance: $_TBD_) i. Open Items (Approved) i. Library to digitize historic documents; $1000 contribution to project from HPC (Approved Feb. Meeting) – (Open) N. Grefrath to report on progress ii. Proposal of $850.00 from Tim Adriance to designate 84 Washington. (Approved Feb. Meeting) – (Open) 8. OLD BUSINESS a. Projects: i. Designation 84 Washington – in process ii. Walking Tour #2 Travel Storys Program – L. Scheideler to send press release to website/social media iii.
