CITY OF WHARTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, February 08, 2021 7:00 PM CITY HALL NOTICE OF CITY OF WHARTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING Notice is hereby given that a City Council Meeting will be held on Monday, February 08, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the Wharton City Hall, 120 East Caney Street, Wharton, Texas, at which time the following subjects will be discussed to-wit: SEE ATTACHED AGENDA Dated this 4th day of February 2021. Call to Order –Opening Devotion –Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call and Excused Absences. Public Comments. Wharton Moment. Review and Consider: 1. Reading of the minutes from the regular meetings held January 11, 2021 and January 25, 2021 and special meetings held January 19, 2021 and January 25, 2021. 2. Ordinance: Ordinance authorizing the issuance of City of Wharton, Texas, Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2021. 3. Request from Ms. Sheila Hoffman, owner of Wikki Wikki Hawaii Shave Ice to address the Council regarding her food truck trailer. 4. Request by Mr. Burnell Neal, 1616 Columbine St., Smith Garden Spot, Blk 2, Lot 14 for placement of a 14’ x 68’ Manufactured Home on the current vacant lot. 5. Request from the Wharton Farmers Market for use of Guffey Park. 6. Wharton Police Department Annual Contact Report for 2020. 7. Resolution: A resolution of the Wharton City Council awarding a contract for grant services for the Texas Community Development Block Grant-Downtown Revitalization Program/Main Street (TxCDBG-DRP/MS) Grant Programs administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and authorizing the Mayor of the City of Wharton to execute all documents related to said contract. 8. Resolution: A resolution of the Wharton City Council awarding a contract for engineering services for the Texas Community Development Block Grant-Downtown Revitalization Program/Main Street (TxCDBG-DRP/MS) Grant Programs administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) and authorizing the Mayor of the City of Wharton to execute all documents related to said contract. 9. Resolution: A resolution of the Wharton City Council authorizing the City Staff to make a second request for proposals for appraisal services for the CDBG-DR Infrastructure Project. 10. Resolution: A resolution of the Wharton City Council rescinding City of Wharton Resolution No. 2020-137 and approving a revised agreement with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for contribution of right-of-way funds and authorizing the Mayor of the City of Wharton to execute all documents relating to said agreement. 11. Appointments and Resignations to the City of Wharton Boards, Commissions and Committees: A. Building Standards Commission. B. Planning Commission. C. Plumbing and Mechanical Board. D. Housing Finance Corporation. Executive Session: 12. City Council may adjourn into an Executive Session in accordance with Section 551.072 of the Local Government Code, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. Final action, decision or vote, if any with regard to any matter considered in Executive Session shall be made in Open Meeting. Discussion: A.
