Smayda The Special Meeting of the Common Council called for Monday, September 28, 2015, at six o'clock in the evening in the Mayor's Conference Room, Municipal Building. Mayor Roach presiding and the following Members present: Mrs. Hunt-Robinson, Mr. Kirkpatrick, Mr. Krolian, Mrs. Lecuona and Ms. Smayda. Absent: Mr. Martin. ________ The Mayor called this Special Meeting to consider legislation in relation to the closure of a portion of a public right-of-way and appropriate parking restrictions on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. to 11: P.M. for the purpose of a Family Movie Night/Downtown; and to discuss: Capital Projects in relation to Common Council Chamber AV Telecast System Improvements and Municipal Parking Structure Rehabilitation FY 2016; a Consulting Agreement with Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc., in relation to the Multimodal Transportation Center Redevelopment Project; the Sub-lease Agreement with the Culinary Tech Center, LLC, for the White Plains Education and Training Center; and a proposed amendment to the Municipal Code pertaining to sewers and drains to add a new Section 7.7.7A. ________ TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WHITE PLAINS The City of White Plains, in conjunction with the White Plains Business Improvement District (BID) is sponsoring Family Movie Night/Downtown with a movie screening of The Wizard of Oz on October 3, 2015 (rain date: October 10, 2015.) This family fun event will encourage families to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to participate in an evening of sing-a-longs, popcorn, and apple cider and glow sticks. The City of White Plains, in conjunction with the White Plains Business Improvement District (BID) is sponsoring Family Movie Night/Downtown with a movie screening of The Wizard of Oz on October 3, 2015 (rain date: October 10, 2015.) This family fun event will encourage families to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to participate in an evening of sing-a-longs, popcorn, and apple cider and glow sticks. Submitted for your deliberation is legislation to authorize the Mayor to direct the Commissioner of Public Works to close Court Street between Martine Avenue and Main Street on October 3, 2015, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. This includes time for setup, breakdown and cleanup. Overtime funding for this portion of the event is proposed to be absorbed by the budgets of the Departments of Public Safety and Public Works. Respectfully submitted, Richard G.
