OLD BUSINESS
Stumptown Snowboard, 128 Central Avenue, amendments, MT Creative (ARC 21-02)
The applicant presented the changes to the floorplan in order to have a bit larger
apartment and a bedroom versus a studio apartment and included a small deck to help
make it more livable. They are considering using the space as employee housing. The
exterior materials are the same and there are some slight changes to the windows.
Paul – looks good to me; adding housing for employees is a good thing
Shane – the red corrugated material? Not being used anymore
Diane – it looks great and likes the bump out in the alley
Christine – likes it better
Paul – it works

*** Leslie Recused Herself from the Following Item ***
ZaneRay, 643 Denver Street, amendments, MT Creative (ARC 19-41) The applicant
presented the changes on the south wall that was going to be a board-formed concrete –
the cost and the workers to do the work caused the material change. They looked at
1
alternatives including tilt up concrete but ended up using the same material of the siding
on the south elevation. The Committee asked questions about the materials and changes.
Motion:
Christine – move to approve as submitted
Paul – 2nd
Discussion: none
Vote: motion passes unanimously
*** Leslie Rejoined the Meeting ***
WAG Dog Park, 1720 E 2nd Street, kiosk & storage shed (ARC 21-25) Postponed at the
request of the applicant.
Muldown Elementary, 1118 E 7th Street, amendments, LPW Architecture (ARC 18-23)
The applicant described the changes to the Hardie material because it is not working well
and it’s starting to come off the building. The proposed material change is to metal with
the same color and the corrugated will go sideways to replicate the hardie lap siding. It's
about 10% of the building.
Shane – appreciates the photos and confirmed the lap Hardie lap on all elevations are
being replaced by the horizontal corrugated metal Yes.
Paul – would like to see the hardie gone
Diane – glad you are jumping in and addressing it
