WHITEFISH ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE MINUTES July 5, 2023 The meeting was called to order by Tracy Rossi, acting vice chair, at 4:05 PM PRESENT: Grant Hughes, Ryan Kiefer, Paul McElroy, Tracy Rossi ABSENT: Christine Bleyhl, Diane Kane, Leslie Lowe STAFF: Wendy Compton-Ring NEW BUSINESS Calvary Chapel, 420 E 5th Street, Repaint (ARC 23-17) Described the repainting of the building; the awnings will remain and eventually have wood or metal on the front. Ryan – questions of the metal/wood they are pricing the metal and may paint something a wood color Metal will be lower maintenance Tracy – What’s the timing for the front façade portion sometime later this year Ryan – Until that portion is done, what happens where the wood will go; painted the body of the building Ryan – concerns with this color; no sense of relief with the dark color; a nice family of colors, but when it is on a large building it can be very dark and there will be no shadow lines The church really wants to upgrade the building Paul – likes the deep dark colors; lighter awnings would be an improvement; the front metal or the dark stained would be an improvement Tracy – agrees with the lighter color choice; would like to see the upgraded The group liked the metal over the wood Motion: Ryan – moved to approve subject to bringing in a lighter shade of gray for the body for Committee review; the wood or metal front to be determined at a later date and wood trimmed awnings Paul – 2nd Discussion: none Vote: motion passes unanimously Meeting adjourned at 4:20 PM 1
