CALL TO ORDER Summary: Toby Scott, the committee chair, called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. 2. AGENDA CHANGES Summary: None. 3. APPROVAL OF July 13, 2022 MINUTES Summary: Members reviewed the minutes of July 13th, 2022. ACTION: Nancy Schuber made a motion to approve the minutes of June 8, 2022. Peggy Brammer. seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed unanimously. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT Summary: None 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS & ACTION A. WLP 22-W31 – 2094 Houston Drive Haseman Summary: The applicants are requesting to move the current dock to the west, remove old railroad tie stairs and non-earthen material from the lakeshore protection zone. As well as, building a new stone paver and rock stairway. All activities will take place at 2094 Houston Drive Nelson Loring summarized the staff report for members, noting a couple of key points: Page 1 of 2 Lakeshore Protection Committee July 13, 2022 • The project meets all Lakeshore Regulations and the conditions of approval will ensure that the lake is protected, • Use of heavy machinery is specifically conditioned for this project to ensure no contact or damage to the lake or lakeshore protection zone. Recommendation: Staff is recommending approval of WLV22-31 with the 33 conditions listed in the report. Members discussed the application with Nelson, clarifying the following items: • Rodger Rowles asked if the fireplace will be removed. Ronald • How will excavator get down there. Ron clarified side old access road. Ronald Clem of Innovative Builders LLC was in attendance to represent the application and noted: • The firepit will be removed along with the landscaping material that is within the lakeshore protection zone. • Excavator will not contact lakeshore protection zone or lake • No plans for railings at this time No one from the public wished to comment further on this application at this time. ACTION: Nancy Schuber made a motion to approve WLP 22-W31. Rodger Rowles seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion passed unanimously. The staff report erroneously did not include the stone patio repairs. It will be amended prior to going to City Council. The application will go before City Council on November 7th. 8.
