Minutes
October 4, 2021
Committee Members Present: John Repke, Mary Behrendt, Antonia Malchik, Jim DeHerrera,
Frank Sweeney, and Doug Reed.
City Staff Present: Carla Belski and Karin Hilding.
Also Present: Patty Zanto, Scott Economy, Scott Randall, Amy Aiello, and Greg Gunderson.
A. The meeting was called to order 9:00 a.m.
B. Antonia moved to approve the minutes. John seconded. Approved.
C. Public Comment: None.
D. New Business
a. Downtown Highway Study Presentation: Scott Randall, with Robert Peccia and
Associates, presented slides outlining the study area, history, process, issues,
and concepts developed for improving traffic flow and safety of US 93. People
are encouraged to provide feedback on the concepts they presented. A copy of
the presentation will be distributed after the meeting.
b. River Bend Report: The final version of the Bike/Pedestrian Trail Connectivity
Along Whitefish River dated September 24, 2021, was prepared by the Bicycle
and Pedestrian Path Advisory Committee and was posted on the city’s website
prior to the meeting.
Doug Reed made a motion to approve the revised report dated September 24,
2021. Antonia seconded the motion. The motion passed with Frank Sweeney
abstaining. The report will be passed on to the Park Board Committee for
consideration.
E. Parks and Recreation Comments: No comments.
F. Public Works Comments: No comments.
G. Committee Comments: No comments.
H. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 1, 2021.
I. The meeting was adjourned at 9:43 a.m.
