Sustainable Tourism Management Plan Standing Committee May 14, 2024 @ 2:00 P.M. Minutes 1) Call To Order Brian Schott called the meeting to order. Members present were Steve Kane, Matt Gebo, Michelle Howke, Liz Colley, Mark Pascoli, Mariah Joos, and Heather Cauffman. Ella Kobelt was absent. Consultant Kate McMahon, Explore Whitefish Executive Director Julie Mullins, Nathan Tuebner with Whitefish Legacy Partner, and Zak Anderson were also in attendance. 2) Approval of April 16, 2024, Minutes Matt made a motion, seconded by Liz to approve the April 16, 2024, minutes. The motion carried. 3) Review Draft update to the Plan The committee reviewed the six action items. It was discussed adding a Local News tab to the Explore Whitefish website/newsletter. An additional way to push that out to the local community is to have the City add that information to their website under News Highlights, which will alert members of the community that is signed up to receive notifications. It also pushes to the City Facebook page. The Committee had no other changes to the action items. The City Council will hold a work session to review the draft on June 3rd. 4) Updates from the Committee None 5) Public Comment None 6) Next Meeting: June 18, 2024 7) Adjourn The meeting was adjourned at 3:31pm.
